Jimmy Butler is expected to make his return to the Miami Heat lineup for Friday night's home game against the Golden State Warriors, according to an official report from the team.
Butler was held out of Wednesday night's game against the Houston Rockets due to an illness. It was his second bout with an illness this season. However, the former Marquette Golden Eagle was able to participate in Friday morning's practice session, and it sounds like he's good to go. He was previously listed as day-to-day.

It goes without saying that Butler is an important piece of the Heat's starting lineup. The 30-year-old came to Miami this offseason by way of a sign-and-trade deal with the Sixers. Early returns have been good, as the team is currently holding a 12-5 record.

Butler has made 13 appearances with the Heat thus far, racking up averages of 18.9 points on 43.6 percent shooting from the field (25.7 percent from beyond the arc), 6.7 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and a career-high 2.6 steals in 33.7 minutes per outing.
With Butler coming back into the fold, Goran Dragic, Justise Winslow, Tyler Herro, Kendrick Nunn, and Duncan Robinson could see a bit less playing time.
Friday night's Heat-Warriors game is scheduled to tip inside AmericanAirlines Arena at 8:00 p.m. ET.
