The Miami Heat are 18-6 and look like one of the best teams in the East. However, All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler, being the fierce competitor that he is, isn't satisfied.
Butler says the Heat still have some “mental lapses” they need to correct moving forward.
“You never take winning lightly in this league, because it's hard to do, home or away,” Butler said, via Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel. “But you can learn from your wins just like you can learn from your losses.
“Obviously, you want to learn from your wins more because nobody likes to lose. I think we're coming together really nicely. We're just having some mental lapses and some slip-ups that we need to correct.”

Butler and the Heat came back to defeat the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, needing overtime to do it. Butler wants the Heat to play a complete 48 minute game so they don't need to comeback at the end and use a ton of energy.
In the post-Dwyane Wade era, Butler is the new franchise player in South Beach and he's playing like one. The 30-year-old is averaging 20.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 7.0 assists on the season while shooting 43.1 percent from the field, 30.4 percent from beyond the arc and 82.7 percent from the free-throw line.
Butler has five double-doubles and three triple-doubles.
