The buddy cop movie that is Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry has officially begun. The Miami Heat scored a huge first win on Thursday night as they manhandled the Milwaukee Bucks, 137-95.

Lowry didn't impress in his much-awaited Heat debut, finishing with five points on 1-of-8 shooting from the field. He did tally six assists and committed only one turnover in 24 minutes. To be fair, he didn't have to play much as it was a blowout contest all throughout.

With win no. 1 already in the books for the Heat, Butler is focused on more important things. For instance, his daughter's birthday tomorrow. And the All-Star forward doesn't want any cheap gifts from Lowry (via Hoop Central).

“I hope that motherf***** knows my daughter’s birthday is tomorrow. And she needs a really expensive gift. $100,000 Kyle, I ain’t f****** around.”

Ah, nothing like asking for an expensive gift by using profanities.

Clearly, Butler and Lowry are enjoying their time together in South Beach. They have built a tight relationship over the years and they finally get to play together.

While Lowry struggled a bit, Butler delivered the goods. He finished with 21 points on top of four rebounds and six assists. Tyler Herro was the top-scorer for the Heat with 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting, plus he had six boards and five dimes.

Lowry can bounce back when they take on the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. In the meantime, he has to find a $100,000 gift.
