The Miami Heat could potentially get a key part of their rotation back for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday against the Boston Celtics. Guard Kyle Lowry, who has missed eight of the last 10 games in the 2022 NBA Playoffs, has been upgraded to questionable for this contest.

Via Chris Haynes:

The Heat veteran last played in Game 4 of the second round vs. Philadelphia before his hamstring injury was reaggravated. Miami was actually playing better without him and Gabe Vincent has done a fine job of stepping into Lowry's starting place and producing. But, the rest of the rotation is really struggling to provide support for Jimmy Butler, who continues to do most of the damage himself.

In five playoff games, Lowry is averaging just 6.2 points, 5.2 assists, and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 21% from downtown. Since coming to the Heat, he's served more as a playmaker and leader than a scorer. That being said, Miami could definitely use a spark right now and Lowry could very well be it. Even if he's not able to actually play in Game 3, it's just promising that Lowry is nearing a return.

As mentioned by Haynes, P.J. Tucker is also listed as questionable after leaving Game 2 with a knee contusion. Erik Spoelstra will be praying he's available on Saturday because the 2021 NBA champion is a huge part of what they do defensively.
