The Miami Heat landed Andre Iguodala in the biggest trade transaction to date. But according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Heat are still working on a three-team deal with the Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder to add Danilo Gallinari to their roster.
According to Wojnarowski, talks could extend into Thursday — the trade deadline.

In addition, the Thunder are looking to get the Heat to lift the protections on a 2023 first-round pick.

Iguodala, a three-time champion and one-time Finals MVP, is expected to turn the Heat team into a legitimate title contender. With Iguodala in the fold, the Heat now have a veteran with enormous regular season and playoff experience. This will be key if the Erik Spoelstra-led squad head deeper into the playoffs.

From the looks of it, Heat president Pat Riley is in the process of creating a powerhouse squad. Iguodala's deal with them is a two-year $30 million extension with a team option in the 2021-22 season. Through this, the Heat have enough flexibility to recruit a max caliber player.
With a team-option for the 2021-22 season, Iguodala is allowing the Heat to keep salary cap flexibility for free agency, league sources tell ESPN. If Miami misses on recruiting a max star, the plan would be for Miami to guarantee that season's $15M, per sources.
