If there is one thing Heat president Pat Riley knows how to do is win championships. As a coach, Riley is one of the greatest head coaches in league history. As an executive, however, Riley has maintained that same success. Riley was instrumental in persuading LeBron James to leave his hometown and join the Heat, winning two championship in the process. After James left in 2014, Riley orchestrated a unique rebuilding phase, allowing the Heat to make the postseason with a limited roster and make the second round in 2016.
Now, with Dwyane Wade back in town, the Heat are on the verge of making the postseason again. The Heat are currently positioned in the slippery slope of the Eastern Conference. If they so much as lose two games, they could be threatened with dropping out of the playoff race entirely.
Nonetheless, Riley believes that his Heat roster is just fine, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

“We have everything we need,” Riley said at the team’s annual Family Festival at American Airlines Arena. “We have shot blocking. We got pick and roll bigs who can catch lobs. We’ve got pick and roll bigs who can catch layups. We’ve got shooters, defenders. We’ve got a lot of versatility. I think coach has done a great job of developing a system that’s for everybody. And so let’s get on with it.”
The Heat truly have what it takes to make this season special. If the Heat got this far with their current roster, it stands to reason that they can win in the postseason with no additional roster changes.
