The Miami Heat threw plenty of money around in an effort to sign Jimmy Butler this season, but now team owner Micky Arison will also be putting up some of his own cash for off-court matters.
Arison and his wife, Madeleine are pledging $1 million for relief efforts with respect to the damage caused in The Bahamas by Hurricane Dorian, according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel:

The pledge from Micky and Madeleine Arison Family Foundation matches a similar $1 million donation from the Carnival Foundation, the cruise corporation's philanthropic arm.
The donation is the latest from the Arisons in the wake of major storms, including for relief efforts of previous South Florida storms.
As the chairman of Carnival Corp.–a British-American cruise operator–Arison has had a history spearheading relief efforts with respect to major storms, including those that have affected communities in South Florida.
Initially, the fear was that Dorian would have a severely damaging impact on the Florida coast. Though the expected geographical toll is not expected to be quite as drastic, meteorologists have still been predicting high-speed winds and the potential for serious flooding.
Dorian has ravaged The Bahamas in the last 24 hours, with at least 20 people confirmed dead and the death toll expected to rise, according to the Washington Post.
Needless to say, the Arison's appear to be taking the initial step in encouraging aid and relief efforts around the country.
