The bad news continues to roll in for Chris Bosh.

Just a week ago, Bosh was ready make his grand return to the Miami Heat in their upcoming training camp. After a pair of blood clot scares, everything appeared to be back to normal.

After a battery of medical examinations, the Miami Heat have declined to clear All-Star forward Chris Bosh for training camp and increasingly believe that his career with the franchise is over, league sources told The Vertical.

Another bout of blood clotting was a significant part of the failed physical, and Bosh’s chances of resuming his NBA career are in a perilous state, sources said.

Wojnarowski also stated that a “complete breakdown in communication” had occurred between president Pat Riley and Bosh. At this point, Riley is still hopeful that he can sit down with Bosh and discuss his future, but Chris might not be interested in doing so.

This tragic story finally appeared to be heading out of doldrums, but this latest blow might be the final straw. On a positive note, Bosh had a long, successful career in the NBA, and his impact on the game and the Heat organization will always be remembered.

As former teammate Dwyane Wade noted, it's time for Bosh to think about his health and his family, rather than his hardwood career.
