After LeBron James and Chris Bosh joined Dwyane Wade for the 2010-11 NBA season, the Miami Heat lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA Finals. However, they won two of the next three championships against the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs before James left for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
During this time, the one constant has been Udonis Haslem, who has played with the team since the 2003-04 season. When reflecting about his time in Miami, the 13-year forward believes the 2012-13 Heat were the ‘ultimate team' according to NBA TV:

Considering the Heat were playing against the ultimate team in the Spurs, it is an accurate assessment from Haslem. After being down 3-2 in the series, the Heat won the next two games, thanks to Ray Allen's heroics in the final seconds of Game 6.
For the Heat, they have been competitive since James returned home. After Wade signed with the Chicago Bulls, the Heat somehow almost made the Eastern Conference playoffs despite low expectations.
As the new season is approaching, a familiar face may be returning. With the Bulls reportedly looking to buy out Wade, a return to South Beach or even reuniting with James could be in store for Wade.
