Last month, former Miami Heat center Willie Reed decided to decline his $1.6 million player option for next season, which effectively made him an unrestricted free agent this summer.
According to David Aldridge of NBA.com, the market is beginning to pick up for Reed with several teams interested in his services.
ClIps, Dubs, Hawks, Sixers, Pacers among teams on trail of Miami C Willie Reed (5.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg in 71 games last yr). Heat still in mix.

In his first season with the Heat, the 27-year-old was able to secure a solid role off the bench as the primary backup to Hassan Whiteside where he averaged 5.3 points on 56.8 percent shooting from the field along with 4.7 rebounds in 14.5 minutes in 71 games played while making five starts. This also includes notching his first four career double-doubles.
Reed proved to be highly effective in his five starts last seasons averaging 14.8 points on 68.6 percent shooting with 8.2 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 28.4 minutes per game. This was capped off with a double-double performance against the Los Angeles Lakers on Jan. 6 where he tied his career high with 22 points along with 12 rebounds.
He could be possibly had on a relatively inexpensive deal given what he can bring to the table in terms of production and impact on the game. All in all, Reed may be in line for a significant pay raise with several teams expressing interest in landing his services for next season.
