One of the biggest trades in NBA history went down this season when the Dallas Mavericks sent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. Doncic is one of the best players in the NBA, and he wanted to spend his entire career in Dallas. He just took the Mavericks to the NBA Finals last year. It was an insane trade that caught everyone around the league off guard, and there might be another big one this offseason involving Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has spent his entire career with the Bucks, but there is a chance that he gets traded this offseason. There have been a lot of rumors surrounding him since the Bucks' early playoff exit, but Carmelo Anthony doesn't see it happening.
“What they’re thinking is Giannis ain’t going no f**king where. People that know, know, because this ***** ain’t going nowhere,” Anthony said during an episode of 7PM in Brooklyn.
Carmelo Anthony and Paul George shared an exchange after that comparing a Giannis trade to the Luka Doncic trade. George thinks that they would be the same because of what these players did for their respective cities, but Anthony explained why they are different.

New arenas, new environment, everything, Milwaukee has shot up because of that. You could not just get rid of that. You could have a case for Luka. Alright cool, I don’t like how he’s doing this, you could get away from that. You sent him to LA, alright cool. You did them a favor, I did my man a favor to be honest with you. That ain’t the same with Giannis. Giannis can’t go nowhere. If they get rid of Giannis, Milwaukee is taking a 15 year step back.”
The thing is, the Bucks already have taken a step back since winning a championship a few years ago. They are still a good team, but it's clear that things are not the same as they once were, especially with Damian Lillard going down with an injury at the end of this season. That will make things incredibly difficult for the team next year even if Giannis does come back. Lillard is going to miss a good portion of the season recovering from his injury.
A lot of people have different opinions regarding Giannis Antetokounmpo and his future. It is going to be a big topic of discussion during the offseason.
