Though he's listed as a forward, Antetokounmpo's ball-handling and court vision allow him to play several positions. In 2016–17, the Greek Freak led the Bucks in nearly every statistical category known to man. In fact, he became the first player in NBA history to finish a regular season in the top 20 in total points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.
Since being selected with the 15th overall in the 2013 Draft, Antetokounmpo, now 23 years of age, has established himself as one of the best players in today's NBA. In his 53 games played for the Bucks this season, the 6-11 forward has turned in averages of 27.8 points on 54.0 percent shooting from the field (29.0 percent from beyond the arc), 10.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.
Article Continues BelowOn January 18, Antetokounmpo was named a starter for the 2018 All-Star Game, marking the second consecutive season he's earned the distinguished honor. The last member of the Bucks to be given an All-Star starting nod in two straight seasons was Marques Johnson (1979–80).
Antetokounmpo has already racked up several accolades, including one All-NBA Second Team selection (2017), an All-NBA Defensive Team nod (2017), and a Most Improved Player award (2017).
The Bucks, now the 3rd-ranked team in the Central Division standings with a 32-25 overall record, will be back in action on Friday night, as they're scheduled to face the Toronto Raptors inside the Air Canada Centre. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. EST with Fox Sports Wisconsin having live broadcast coverage.
