Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo reflected on the popular ESPN docuseries “The Last Dance,” taking a big lesson from the four episodes that have been shown to the public thus far:
My MJ takeaway from the Last Dance documentary is that chasing greatness is a life mission.

Antetokounmpo has been known to have a similar competitive drive as some of the greats in the sport due to his relentless work ethic and insistence in getting better year after year.
Many athletes of today are getting to see just how maniacally ruthless Michael Jordan was during his prime, demanding excellence not only of himself but his teammates as well. LeBron James and Stephen Curry are just two of the other stars to take note as they watch the docuseries along with everybody else.
The NBA has less than a handful of competitors that can be put in this elite category of competitiveness and drive. The shortlist can be easily narrowed down to Jordan, the late Kobe Bryant, and perhaps Russell Westbrook.
Article Continues BelowThe Greek Freak, however, fits that mold perfectly, and if he can string together some playoff wins in the future, he can emerge into that category in the near future.
If Antetokounmpo is to make “chasing greatness” his life mission, he will have to take the Bucks to the NBA Finals and win it all, just like the likes of Jordan and Bryant did several times in their career.
What makes the relentless pursuit of greatness so difficult is that it's easy to be satisfied with one title. The greats, however, have an unquenchable thirst for more hardware — a thirst that doesn't let up until it's time to hang up the sneakers.
Should Giannis follow that same mold, it could be a scary decade for the NBA as he builds into his prime. His Bucks entered the NBA's coronavirus hiatus with the league's best record.
