The Milwaukee Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets fought toe to toe in a seven-game thriller in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. The Bucks eventually won on the road after Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped a 40-point masterpiece to clinch the game in overtime.
Kevin Durant went into berserk mode as he scored 50 points in the overtime loss against the Bucks, and a lot of fans have been thinking about the what-ifs because KD's foot was an inch away from counting the shot as a 3-pointer.
The series was incredible and these two played a very important role in entertaining the fans. Durant left people speechless with his herculean efforts, and Giannis responded with his monstrous performances. They had a really cool back and forth, but the Bucks had the last laugh.
After the game had been decided, Durant left Giannis a special message that would eventually help with his confidence going into the next round and to the NBA Finals.
As they hugged, the two-time NBA Champion told him:

Giannis has the utmost respect for KD. After their legendary duel, the Bucks star acknowledged Durant as the best player in the world, per ESPN's Rachel Nichols.
The Bucks advanced to beat the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Finals and went on to win the 2021 NBA Championship against the Phoenix Suns after trailing 2 games to none.
Coming from a player who Giannis grew up watching and idolizing, the message clearly echoed on his mind and heart. The Greek Freak averaged 35.2 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in 6 games and won the NBA Finals MVP.
