The Milwaukee Bucks are offering vaccinations ahead of Sunday's game against the Brooklyn Nets.

All eligible attendees 16 years of age or older will have the opportunity to get the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Bucks president Peter Feigin lobbied for citizens to get the vaccine:

ā€œWe strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated and are pleased to team with the Milwaukee Health Department to give fans this easy and convenient opportunity,ā€ Feigin said, via team release. ā€œThis is a critical time for all of us to take the necessary step that will help return our lives to normal. Let’s make this happen together.ā€

The release states the vaccination site will be open prior to tip-off and will remain open through the conclusion of the Bucks' game. Milwaukee Health Department Officials will be on-site to schedule follow-up appointments for second doses. It is expected to take 20-to-30 minutes for shots to be administered, per the release.

This is not unlike the vaccination opportunities being offered by other teams around the NBA. The New Orleans Pelicans announced last week eligible persons can receive the vaccine for the remainder of the team's home games at the Smoothie King Center.

Multiple franchises–like the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat–are nearing or at that point. Now, individual teams like the Bucks and Pelicans are offering vaccines to common citizens as the country as a whole tries to climb closer to a national threshold.
