The Milwaukee Bucks took out the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, 94-90, in their Summer League matchup in Las Vegas. MarJon Beauchamps, the Bucks' first-round pick from the 2022 NBA Draft, put on quite a show on the evening as he helped Milwaukee score a victory against the Nets.
After the game, Beauchamps was asked if he felt targetted during the game, particularly because of the fact that he's a first-round pick. The 21-year-old admitted that this was the case, and he decided to inject a bit of the great Michael Jordan in his response:
“The Nets players were telling Cam (Thomas) to go at me. I felt that and I took that personally,” Beauchamps said. “I did my thing.”

Nets guard Cam Thomas caught fire in this one, dropping a game-high 31 points. As Beauchamps said, Thomas kept on going at him, which in the words of MJ, he “took that personally.”
Beauchamp finished the win with 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting, to go along with three rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a block in 27 minutes of action. The former NBA G League standout also went 3-of-6 on his 3-point attempts against the Nets. If this is an indication of how he's going to play for the Bucks this season, then it looks like Milwaukee unearthed another gem in Beauchamp.
This young man appears to possess the right attitude to succeed in the league. Much like Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, MarJon also came from poverty before fulfilling his NBA dream. This is actually why Beauchamp wears the No. 0, to serve as a reminder that he came from nothing. Giannis would be proud.
