Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has put on a ton of muscle since coming into the league five years ago. The transformation has simply been amazing.

As it turns out, Antetokounmpo has put on about the same amount of confidence and self-belief. So much so, that the 24-year-old believes that he could take on — and destroy — WWE legend The Rock:

Thankfully for Bucks fans, Giannis was only kidding, and he immediately took back his statement. He even felt compelled to provide a brief explanation on why his joke should not be taken seriously — especially by Dwayne Johnson himself.

Antetokounmpo, along with Bucks teammate Pat Connaughton, recently sent out a workout challenge to The Rock, to which the WWE star turned Hollywood leading man responded to in jest.

There is a lot of mutual respect between these two parties, and despite all the gains, we are now sure that Giannis still has his mind right. After all, challenging The Rock to a wrestling match would not be a good idea for The Greek Freak.

The same can be said if the tables were turned. The Rock would stand no chance against Antetokounmpo on the basketball court, with the two-time All-Star in the midst of another outstanding season. Giannis is currently averaging 26.0 points (on a career-best 58.8 percent shooting), 12.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists (both also career-high marks), 1.3 steals, and 1.6 blocks in 33.3 minutes per contest.

Few will argue that at this point in the season, Giannis Antetokounmpo is at the very least, a top MVP candidate.
