Ever since Giannis Antetokounmpo burst onto the scene people have been saying, ‘if only he could add a three-point shot.' It's the obvious next step in his game but it may not be the best way for him to get to another level as a scorer, especially in the playoffs.

On the daily Locked On Bucks Podcast, host Kane Pitman recapped the Bucks' win over the Pistons and explained why one specific shot Giannis took could really help him, even more than a three-point shot.

Kane Pitman: Giannis did have that one sort of push shot/hook shot in this game, I think it was Saddiq Bey that was actually defending him. I don't think the Pistons' help defense was that great when it came to Giannis Antetokounmpo. There's a lot of guys that were put out on an island there. Before the game, Dwayne Casey spoke about how fearful they were of the Bucks' three-point shooting. So I just think there were some mixed messages there.

Certainly, those types of things every time you see them, they feel noteworthy. We've spoken about the three-point shot and he got up six tonight, but again, those shots are always going to be there. Giannis Antetokounmpo's threes are not necessarily going to open up anything for him moving forward. Whereas that little push shot/hook shot or the turnaround, which he actually has shot a decent percentage on if you look up the numbers, that mid-range turnaround has been pretty good for him. I think it's because he doesn't have to put a lot of power into it. It's just a fluid motion, it actually looks pretty smooth in comparison to the rest of his jump shots.
