Free agent guard/forward Anthony Brown has agreed to a two-way deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
This two-way contract would allow Brown to collect an NBA rate when playing in the league and develop in the G-League for the remainder of time, earning an adjusted salary.
The 24-year-old was the 34th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and has shown promise during his two seasons in the league, though he's been stuck at the back of the bench with three different teams — Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, Orlando Magic.
Brown has only 40 games of NBA experience to his name and will need development, but he is clearly viewed as an asset for a team that is trying to grow through its youth.
The Stanford grad has career averages of 4.0 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in limited minutes, but could carve a niche for himself if he makes a solid impression during his time in the newly established G-League.
