The Minnesota Timberwolves came into this season with high expectations after gaining a lot of experience last year with their young core players playing alongside each other for a whole campaign, plus the addition of veteran head coach Tom Thibodeau.
However, things have not gone according to plan for the team, starting with a 5-12 record almost a quarter of the way into the season. Despite the lack of success brought about by different factors, last year's unanimous Rookie of the Year winner and starting center, Karl-Anthony Towns, has put the blame squarely on his own shoulders.

This is a positive sign that the young star is showing so much maturity to go along with his already solid averages this season of 21.0 points, 9,5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 blocks.
Whether or not the Timberwolves can figure it out this season, they'll need that leadership from Towns in the future to finally become true contenders.
