The 32-year-old would be an interesting fit with the Timberwolves given that he could help further assemble another formidable team in the Western Conference that could potentially challenge the Golden State Warriors next season.
Minnesota has already added a couple big pieces over the last several days by trading for All-Star forward Jimmy Butler during the 2017 NBA Draft and reportedly agreeing to a three-year, $57 million deal with Jeff Teague after dealing away Ricky Rubio to the Utah Jazz. These additions should fit nicely alongside their two rising stars in big man Karl-Anthony Towns and forward/guard Andrew Wiggins.
Millsap has proven to be one of the more skilled big men in the league over the last few seasons, earning four consecutive All-Star Game selections. He is also coming off his most productive campaign, averaging a career-high 18.1 points with 7.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.
