Andrew Wiggins' constant back-and-forth with the Minnesota Timberwolves during this summer has been a concern for Twin Cities fans hopeful to see him locked down under a long-term extension.
While the organization has made major signings in Jeff Teague, Taj Gibson, Jamal Crawford, and most-recently Shabazz Muhammad — the uncertainty of whether Wiggins will be a part of the team's future has been concerning to say the least.
But according to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, his extension is likely to get done.

Wiggins had reportedly shrugged off a prior offer last month and cut ties with his now former agency, but if he does indeed agree to a deal, the team could be looking at a solid starting core for the rest of the decade.
The 22-year-old has been an ironman through his first three seasons in the league, missing only one game in his career and improving every season since winning Rookie of the Year in 2015.
Wiggins has developed as a steady scoring talent with a high upside, but his game will need some polish if he accepts a max offer in the near future in order to validate the organization's investment in his promising career.
