The Minnesota Timberwolves have shot up the Western Conference ahead of the All-Star break and are looking to keep playing good basketball in the second half of the season. Anthony Edwards has no doubts about his squad, and made a bold claim while on SiriusXM NBA Radio on Thursday. Edwards declared that the Timberwolves are the team in the West that “nobody wants to see,” going as far as to detail just why that is.

Edwards explained that the Timberwolves are such a threat because of their starpower. Any one of Edwards, D'Angelo Russell, or Karl-Anthony Towns could explode for 30 points on any given night, with the other two comfortably dropping 20+ points each.

The Timberwolves currently sit in seventh place in the West at 31-28. They won seven of their last 10 heading into the All-Star break and have completely erased their poor start to the season, sitting firmly in the playoff race. Edwards was spot on with his analysis of his team, as defenses are forced to put heavy focus on all three of himself, Towns, and Russell, as any of the trio could pop off for a huge night at any given moment.
This season, Edwards is averaging 21.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, while draining an average of 3.1 3's at a 35.5% clip.
