The Minnesota Timberwolves suffered a tough loss to the new-look Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night, giving up 132 points in a 13-point defeat. Young Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards made a major confession that also doubled as a silver lining by noting he has been hurting for a while but finally felt good again:
Anthony Edwards: "I've really been hurt. Tonight was the first night I felt good in a month and a half."

Ant: "I'm just happy to be out there feeling like myself again. I'm just happy."
Clearly he feels much better today than he has.
KAT: "Ant's been a true pro. … He's been playing through this for a while. You have to give him a lot of credit for playing well on it."

Edwards has been dealing with a knee injury, and it's great to hear him say he's finally feeling more like himself. The youngster didn't have the most efficient game against the Kings, scoring 26 points on 10-of-25 shooting, but just hearing him say these things is a win on its own.
The Timberwolves have been a fun story so far this season with a 29-26 record that has them firmly in the play-in tournament and knocking on the door of the No. 6 seed. Edwards' rise has played a key role in this, and they're going to need him to be at his best to ultimately make the postseason and potentially make some noise.
In 49 games this season, Edwards is averaging 22.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 43.6% from the field and 35.7% from 3-point range. The second-year man has made a clear leap from his rookie campaign and will only continue to get better.
Minnesota is hoping Edwards is past this knee issue and will be ready to rock coming down the home stretch of this season. The Timberwolves haven't been all that familiar with postseason play in recent times, so it's important for them to make it.
