This is huge for the Timberwolves, who get their one of their best players back in the mix. However, it will likely take him a few days to ramp up his conditioning and get into game-shape again after 13 days sidelined. That being said, he won't be available for Tuesday's meeting with the Knicks.

Edwards is putting up All-Star-like numbers in his sophomore campaign, averaging 22.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per contest while also draining 36% of his triples. He's a big reason Minnesota is a fringe playoff team at the moment, currently sitting as an eight seed with a 16-17 record, just above LeBron James and the Lakers.

The Timberwolves guard's last game against Denver was an absolute masterpiece as well with the former Georgia standout showing out for 38 points. 30 of them came from deep as he shot 10 for 14.

Minnesota doesn't play until Friday again vs. Utah which means Edwards will have more than enough time to train and feel 100%. There are a few tough matchups ahead over the next week for the Timberwolves and it will be important to have one of their stars back in the mix alongside Karl-Anthony Towns.
