All-Star point guard D'Angelo Russell will make his Minnesota Timberwolves debut on Monday against the Toronto Raptors.
Russell didn't play on Saturday due to a quad injury. The Timberwolves acquired the lefty from the Golden State Warriors:

Russell is the type of All-Star player Karl-Anthony Towns was hoping new president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas would deliver to him. Rosas came through in a big way, even if it meant the Timberwolves had to part ways with fan favorite Robert Covington and former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins.
With the Warriors this season, Russell averaged 23.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists while shooting 43.0 percent from the field, 37.4 percent from beyond the arc and 78.5 percent from the free-throw line.
The Timberwolves finally snapped their 13-game losing streak this past Saturday by defeating the Los Angeles Clippers. The Target Center had a lot of energy in it despite Russell being in street clothes. His presence, though, was enough to lift the spirits of the Timberwolves and their fan base.

It will be fun to see if Russell and Towns can lead the Timberwolves to the playoffs, maybe not this season since they are far back in the standings, but in 2020-21.
