Jimmy Butler revealed his preferred trade destinations to the Minnesota Timberwolves' front office, citing the New York Knicks, the L.A. Clippers, and the Brooklyn Nets as his ideal landing spots, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. All three teams are slated to have the sufficient salary cap to ink Butler to a max deal in the summer of 2019.
Butler recently requested a trade after meeting with president/head coach Tom Thibodeau and GM Scott Layden in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The All-Star forward informed them of his intentions and gave him a shortlist of these three teams, noting he would be willing to re-sign with them once he opts out of the final year of his contract to garner a max deal.
The 6-foot-7 defensive ace's issues with Minnesota are merely contractual, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic, instead of the rumored tiff with some of the Timberwolves' younger players.

If Butler is indeed seeking a max deal, the Knicks, Nets, and Clippers will have plenty of cap space to take him on, and potentially even along another superstar player.
The Texas native was rumored to seek out a potential partnership with Kyrie Irving in the Big Apple, though any of these three franchises could make that duo a possibility.
