Before the season started, a rumor circulated that Jimmy Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns might have been involved with the same woman. Upon seeing the rumor on Twitter, Towns quickly dubbed it as fake news back in September and the Timberwolves' All-Star big man is back on Twitter to fire back at the gossip trolls.

The gossip outlet Black Sports Online put out a tweet that said Karl Anthony-Towns' ex girlfriend was mad at Towns because he didn't take her back after a misunderstanding with Jimmy Butler. Towns, upon seeing the new rumor, didn't hold back his true feelings:

Towns seems to be in a more comfortable place now that Jimmy Butler and all his drama is gone. The Timberwolves are 6-2 since trading Butler to the Sixers and Towns has been a monster on the court. In the eight games since the Butler trade, Towns is averaging 22.3 points and 14.4 rebounds per game while shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from beyond the arc.

Whether Towns had a new lady in his life is unknown, but we do know that he's happy Butler is gone. There's no more tension in the Timberwolves' locker room and the players are playing free on the court.
