Basketball fans could not have imagined that this time would come, but Kobe Bryant has indeed officially entered his forties today. As nostalgic as it seems, Kobe doesn't seem to care that he's 40 and is actually pumped up by it.

Bryant posted his birthday messgae on his Instagram account, much to the hilarious comments of his wife, Vanessa Bryant, and football star Tom Brady.

Vanessa tried to play some tricks on her husband flexing his biceps while the 41-year old Brady officially welcomed the five-time NBA champion to the exclusive '40s club.'

Despite his age, Brady has remained a steady, impactful player for the NFL's New England Patriots. Brady led the Patriots to a stunning, historic comeback to win the Super Bowl in 2017. Then the Pats again made it into football's biggest stage last season and made a valiant stand before losing to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Salt Lake Tribune had their take on how Brady is making history at the age of 40.

“According to Pro Football Reference, Brady is poised to become the 20th quarterback in league history to appear in a game at 40 or older. Whether it’s a byproduct of the system he plays in, avoiding injury, or the training and nutrition regimen he swears by, unlike virtually all of his predecessors Brady isn’t showing signs of slowing down.”

As of today, Kobe has been busy having a lot of success in the business industry. People around the 2008 Most Valuable Player are adamant that he is not close to playing in the hardwood again.

So basketball fans, don't keep your hopes up on Kobe coming out of retirement and pulling off a ‘Brady.'
