The future of Kyler Murray with the Arizona Cardinals has been shrouded in uncertainty of late after issues about the 24-year-old quarterback's current contract emerged. By the looks of it, however, both parties appear to have found a common ground, and Murray is expected to remain with the team for the foreseeable future.

Cardinals general manager Steve Keim has broken his silence about the issue at hand and he has come out with a definitive statement about Murray's tenure with Arizona (h/t John Weinfuss of ESPN):

Keim's statement comes after Murray's camp announced on Monday that the two-time Pro Bowler “absolutely wants to be [the Cardinals] long term QB.” Murray also declared that he “desperately wants to win the Super Bowl” with Arizona and that he intends to do everything in his power to achieve this ultimate objective with his team.

Murray is entering the final year of his current rookie deal with the Cardinals, but the team also has a team option for his fifth year in 2023. Keim has already confirmed that the team intends to pick up that fifth-year option, which means that Murray should remain in Arizona for at least the next couple of seasons.

It is worth noting that Murray is already eligible for an extension but it remains to be seen if he is able to negotiate a new deal with the Cardinals that will meet his current demands.
