Following Draymond Green‘s arrest for an alleged result in East Lansing, Michigan, questions rose up about him possibly being kicked off of Team USA for the upcoming Olympics in Rio. His court date was moved prior to the start of the Olympic games, but that didn't stop critics from calling for him to be removed from the roster.
That doesn't appear to be happening, though. On Tuesday, USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo spoke to reporters about Green and how he's handling the situation with his teammates.

Article Continues Below“The message for him was: this is an opportunity. When we met yesterday, we gave him a chance to address the team. ‘What do you want to tell the team?' Basically, he said he wanted to apologize for what happened.

“We're trying to bond people here because we have a lot of new people. It's not like this is the same 12. When a player is willing to say, ‘I made a mistake, I didn't do what I should have done. I apologize for that.' That helps bring people together.”
After a pair of gold medal runs featuring the likes of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade, Team USA is adapting to life without some of the game's legends. Chris Paul and Stephen Curry are absent from the roster as well, but there's still no shortage of talent for the Americans.
