New York Knicks second-year big man Mitchell Robinson will support head coach David Fizdale's decision to have him come off bench moving forward.
Mitchell started the first five games of the season, but Fizdale brought him off the bench in the Knicks' blowout loss to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday:
“He wanted me to come off the bench,” Robinson said after the 113-92 Sacramento rout dropped the Knicks to 1-6, via Marc Berman of The New York Post. “He wanted to see how they’d do with them starting. So I’m going to support the decision. I’m still on the team. I’m going to come off the bench just as hard.”
Against the Kings, Robinson played 24 minutes. He finished with 10 points, five rebounds and two blocks while shooting a perfect 4-of-4 from the field.
