European phenom Luka Doncic had already hinted at a potential stay in Spain after his team Real Madrid made the Final Four of the Euroleague.

After taking down Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow and surprise contender Fenerbahce, Doncic, who was named the youngest Euroleague MVP, wouldn't commit to a move to the National Basketball Association, noting he still has work to do compiling accolades.

“Well, I still have to win a Spanish SuperCopa in Spain. I haven’t won it yet,” said the 19-year-old forward, according to EuroHoops. “I won everything but you can still win more, more times. Getting the titles again is something that would only happen in Real Madrid, so everything is still open.”

Doncic, who averaged 15.5 points, five rebounds, three assists, and a steal per game during the Final Four, has gone from just another piece in a celebrated Spanish powerhouse to being the go-to player and one opposing coaches have to plan their strategy around — already a step up from what college players have to endure.

“When you get on the court, they all want to stop you, they all want to defend you”, said Doncic. “And sometimes you smile (because of that)”.

Doncic is a sure-fire top-two pick for next month's NBA Draft, though it still remains unclear if the Phoenix Suns will select him with the top overall pick or opt to address their roster needs and draft Arizona center DeAndre Ayton.

It was believed that Doncic had used the possibility of staying in Europe to get leverage on their Sacramento Kings, who were reportedly willing to take him with the second overall pick, but the decision solely remains with the Suns and their ultimate choice come draft day.
