LaVar Ball has been known for speaking his mind, regardless of who he talks to. The Ball family patriarch has made plenty of controversial remarks towards the Lakers, Michael Jordan, and his own sons. Interestingly, this has given Ball the opportunity to establish a global platform where he can rant about anything he wants, while people solemnly watch and listen.

Earlier in 2017, a serious issue took away LaVar Ball's attention when his son LiAngelo Ball and a couple of other UCLA players were arrested from stealing Louis Vuitton glasses from a designer store in China. This international incident prompted a quick response from the Ball and his legal team to eventually entice China to drop the charges. However, President Donald Trump swiftly took responsibility for persuading the Chinese government to let LiAngelo Ball go.

Once the Ball family returned to the United States, LaVar Ball quickly shot down any talk that President Trump had anything to do with his son's incident, even going directly at him on Twitter.

The report that Ball cited claimed that President Trump had no involvement with LiAngelo's Ball's incident. In fact, it states that the Ball family was already scheduled to leave before Trump got a chance to talk to the Chinese government. Before LaVar Ball gets ahead of himself, this report probably isn't 100 percent true. It is a possibility that Trump did get involved with the whole incident and talked to the Chinese government in private.

Nonetheless, LaVar Ball is a primary source and would have probably known if President Trump got involved. Therefore, it's safe to say that Ball probably got this one right.
