Teams in search of a head coach could hire Jason Kidd since the Hall of Famer has a close relationship with Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, per Steve Popper of Newsday.
Kidd coached Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee and the two developed a strong bond. In fact, when the Bucks fired Kidd, multiple reports said the Greek Freak was upset.
Sources close to Kidd have said that he would have interest in this job (he played for Dolan and Knicks in last successful season for NY) – and some teams interested in Kidd think that he could provide a link to the prize of next year's free agent class, Giannis. https://t.co/dlaYw7Oa1m

Giannis Antetokounmpo can become an unrestricted free agent in 2021 if he doesn't sign the supermax extension with the Bucks this offseason.
Article Continues BelowAfter his Hall of Fame playing career ended, Jason Kidd coached the Brooklyn Nets and Bucks. He's currently an assistant coach on the Los Angeles Lakers, who racked up the best record in the Western Conference before games were suspended in March.
Kidd won 183 games with the Nets and Bucks. However, he lost 190 games and only won nine postseason contests.
Giannis has said many times in the past that he doesn't like big market cities such as New York or Los Angeles. The 2019 MVP is very comfortable in Milwaukee. It's also worth mentioning that he just had a son, so Giannis might not be interested in picking up his family and moving so soon.
If Giannis enters the open market in 2021, many insiders believe the Toronto Raptors are the favorites to land him because of Masai Ujiri. The Miami Heat, though, could be a dark-horse team since Pat Riley is one of the most aggressive execs of all time and Giannis and Heat star Bam Adebayo are close friends.
