Philadelphia 76ers star Jimmy Butler is known across the entire NBA as one of the most confrontational teammates one can have. Like Houston Rockets point guard  Chris Paul, Butler demands absolute excellence from their teammates.

Butler's personality drove himself out of Minnesota. He doesn't like the passive play from his former teammates. Now in Philadelphia, he has a chance to use his veteran leadership on an actual championship contender.

When Butler went on Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports podcast, he spoke of where he got his confrontational attitude from.

“I remember coming into the league and I didn't practice because I was the fifteenth guy. I would look at the way D-Rose, and Booz, and Lou and Joakim were on the same team but would cuss each other out. ‘You missed your god*** assignment it's your f****** fault. Let's go down there and get a stop. Don't f******* do it again.'”

Butler is a longtime NBA veteran. He started out his career as a late first-round draft pick with the Chicago Bulls. He soon grew a niche as a perennial all-star and was traded to the Timberwolves for the rights to Lauri Markkanen, Zach LaVine, and Kris Dunn.

The relationship between Butler and the Wolves never seemed to work out, so they shipped him off to Philadelphia. There he hopes to find a new home where he can contribute.

So far this season he's averaging 19.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists while shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from beyond the arc.
