For Team USA to win gold at the FIBA World Cup in China, they are going to have to play better against the zone defense.
Other countries, like Turkey on Tuesday, play a lot of 2-3 zone on defense, something we don't see a lot of in the NBA.
The 2-3 zone got to Team USA on Tuesday in their match against Turkey. The players will watch film and figure out how to attack the defensive scheme more efficiently moving forward.

“We definitely need to shore some stuff up,” Joe Harris said. “I think our execution in the half-court wasn't great. We weren't running stuff to score against the zone. We kind of let them match up against us and take us out of our rhythm a little bit vs. running stuff hard regardless of being zone or man.”
Team USA defeated Turkey by just one point on Tuesday, winning 93-92. They will face Japan next on Thursday.
