From one Bay Area icon to another, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry spoke out on the announced retirement of San Francisco Giants icon Buster Posey.
Following the Warriors' 126-85 win over the New Orleans Pelicans, Steph Curry was asked to weigh in on Posey and how he took the news of the catcher's retirement after 12 playing seasons.
Via Mercury News:
“He’s obviously pure class, the way he represented the entire Giants organization, himself, his family,” the Warriors guard said. “It’s so cool to see somebody be able to go out on their own terms, with hopefully with no regrets and a wild resume under his belt. Not just the accolades and championships. But there’s always a feeling of somebody who represented one organization his entire career and did it with class the entire time.”

The Warriors star seemed to daydream about his own retirement one day as well, an event that he looks forward to longingly but is in no rush to reach just yet.
“It’s pretty awesome to stand up on a podium like that when your career’s over and ride off into the sunset on your own terms. That’s dope. I hope to be in that situation, not too soon.”
“I said not too soon!” Curry reiterated, just for the peace of mind of Warriors fans everywhere.
Stephen Curry is in his age-33 season, but he's still playing at a level few others in NBA history could ever reach. He's still got a lot left to give for the Warriors as he looks to pad his resume before he hangs it up.
