German-born swingman Paul Zipser is expected to sign a two-way contract with the Brooklyn Nets in the coming days, according to a report from German newspaper “Rhein Neckar Zeitung.”

Zipser, now 24 years of age, has been a free agent since last summer, when his contract with the Bulls expired. According to EuroHoops.net, he's already made his way back to the U.S. in anticipation of this deal.

Though he underwent foot surgery roughly seven month ago for a stress fracture, Zipser kept himself in good shape as he waited for an NBA call-up. In fact, he spent most of his down time practicing with MLP Academics Heidelberg, which is a team in his hometown.

The Bulls selected Zipser with the 48th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. He's also spent time with Bayern Munich of the German Basketball Bundesliga.
