After recently waiving Anthony Brown, the New Orleans Pelicans have signed another player to fill their open roster spot.

The team has announced that they have come to terms with veteran shooting guard Reggie Williams, who last played for the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA D-League.

The 30-year-old Virginia Military Institute product has been bounced on and off the league since 2009 and has played for four different teams. After his impressive rookie season with the Golden State Warriors seven years ago in which he averaged 15.2 points, 4.6 rebounds 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game, Williams had difficulty finding his old form and was not able to be on a team where his game fits perfectly.

With a fresh start in New Orleans, Williams is hoping that he can have an extended stint with his new team and become the player they are looking for. The Pelicans have also battled a lot of injuries with their players and should utilize their new signing immediately.

If he can show the team's coaching staff that he can provide a spark off the bench and contribute immediately, it will not be a difficult decision for them to sign him for at least the rest of the season.
