New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis has been experiencing issues in his right elbow as of late. While Davis played Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors after missing the prior two games, it looks like he won't suit up Thursday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Anthony Davis listed as doubtful, after playing in last night’s loss to Golden State. This would be his third missed game of the young season. He’s listed as “Out” on the team’s game notes.

Davis struggled in Wednesday night's loss to the Warriors. While he played 41 minutes, he recorded only 17 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists while shooting 6-of-16 from the field. It's seems clear that he was not back to full health. It would be wise for the Pelicans to rest Davis until he is back to full health or this injury could linger if they try to have him play in the midst of his recovery.
Article Continues BelowAD has been mostly incredible when he has been on the court. Davis has averaged 25.2 points, 13.0 rebounds, 3.2 blocks, and 5.2 assists in five games for the Pelicans this season.
But since Davis has been experiencing the pain in his shooting elbow, New Orleans has undoubtedly struggled. The Pelicans were 4-0 prior to Davis' injury but have lost three straight since.
Thursday's game in Portland was already going to be a tall order, but without Anthony Davis it will be especially difficult. Damian Lillard will look to continue his strong play this season, so things could get out of hand quick for New Orleans without its star player. The Blazers are a completely different team at home and reap the benefits of a boisterous crowd at the Moda Center.
