The basketball world may be waiting on where Kawhi Leonard will play next year, but all eyes will turn to the NBA Summer League on Friday night, when No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson will make his debut against the New York Knicks. For those looking to watch his first game with the New Orleans Pelicans, head coach Alvin Gentry's plan is for Williamson to get 24-28 minutes:

Coming out of college as one of the most highly regarded prospects ever, Williamson will finally get the chance to show off his skill set on an NBA stage. For those in attendance and watching, it’ll be a great chance to see how Williamson can perform in this setting.

Williamson will get a chance to play against former Duke teammate RJ Barrett in their respective Summer League debuts. Barrett was selected third overall and will lead a loaded Knicks Summer League squad.

After Summer League is over, Williamson will get to work trying to build chemistry with his Pelicans teammates, as the young group strives to become one of the next powerhouses in the NBA. While expectations may be somewhat tempered in Las Vegas, Williamson’s incredible combination of athleticism and skill is not something that comes around too often, so fans watching will likely be in for a treat, and perhaps they may get to see a couple of the signature dunks Williamson has become known for.
