The New Orleans Pelicans have a tall order in front of them as they face the juggernaut Houston Rockets inside Toyota Center. While the Rockets are a cinch to finish with the league's best record, the Pelicans are caught up in a wild scramble in the middle of the Western Conference's playoff race with the Portland Trail Blazers, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Utah Jazz.
To add to the obstacles in front of New Orleans, MVP favorite James Harden is locked and loaded. However, Anthony Davis, a candidate for the league's top individual award himself, isn't fazed by all these odds. He's as determined as anyone tonight, evidenced by this never-say-die sequence inside the paint.
Near the two-minute mark of the second quarter, Davis found his shot getting rejected by Rockets big man Clint Capela. The former got the offensive rebound and this time he knew better to slam it home with authority right in the grill of Capela.

While Capela is a great defender, Davis is simply on another level. He's gifted with that extra gear to bounce back from a rejection and the Rockets center had to learn about that the hard way.
The Rockets are without Chris Paul in this game, while the Pelicans are missing Rajon Rondo and Nikola Mirotic. A loss on New Orleans' behalf could still endanger their playoff hopes as the ninth-placed Denver Nuggets seem ready to pounce at the earliest opportunity of getting back on the postseason bus.
