It's been a tough few seasons for Carmelo Anthony. His Knicks have been frankly been disappointing during his tenure in the New York, and Melo is still searching for that elusive first title. But he isn't worried because he knows he has a lot of basketball left to play.

Yes, you read that right. Anthony, a 31-year-old NBA veteran with 13 seasons to his name, believes he's just getting started.

He told Kelly Evans of CNBC:

“I think I'm in the prime of my career right now. I have years to go in this league. I see guys playing 20 years. That's a goal of mine – to play 20 NBA seasons.”

It's true the Anthony continues to excel as one of the game's top players. Although his scoring numbers went down this season, he dished the ball at a career-high assist rate and was named an All-Star for the ninth consecutive time.

If Anthony does reach the 20 season mark as he says he hopes to, he'll join Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett on the short list of six players in NBA history to do so.
