New York Knicks rookie Kevin Knox turned 19 on Saturday before heading to the NBA Rookie Photo Shoot on Sunday. Knox's former Kentucky teammates, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Hamidou Diallo, surprised the Knicks youngster with a birthday cake at the event.

That is quite the large cake, and hopefully Knox shared with all his fellow rookies. There was certainly plenty enough to go around.

Knox, Gilgeous-Alexander and Diallo were three of the leading scorers on Kentucky last season. Knox led the Wildcats at 15.6 points per game, while Gilgeous-Alexander notched 14.4 points and 5.1 assists per game. Diallo was fourth at 10.0 points per game.

While Kentucky went just 10-8 in SEC play, the team came together and won the SEC Tournament for a fourth straight year. The Wildcats then reached the Sweet 16 before losing to Kansas State.

The tournament runs helped Knox go No. 9 in the draft to New York. Gilgeous-Alexander's stock skyrocketed thanks to his late-season surge, pushing him all the way up to No. 11 to the Charlotte Hornets, though he was then traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. Diallo went 45th to the Brooklyn Nets, but he was traded to the Hornets and then the Oklahoma City Thunder. He signed a contract with Oklahoma City.
