New York Knicks rookie Kevin Knox is only 18-years-old and he has already been opening up a ton of eyes with his play during summer league. Fans in the arena at the draft booed the pick, although the fans might need to rethink their feelings on the rookie.
Knox played in four games with the Knicks in Las Vegas averaging 21.3 points. He also looked well polished for a guy who only spent one year at Kentucky. General manager Scott Perry said on ESPN's Get Up that sometimes during the summer league he had to keep pinching himself and couldn't believe what type of guy the Knicks were getting.
Knicks GM Scott Perry says on ESPN’s Get Up that he had to keep pinching himself and reminding himself during Summer League that Kevin Knox is still 18. He said NYK was most impressed with his mental approach.

It's interesting that Perry admits he was pinching himself because during the summer league he said that maybe fans need to pump the breaks a bit on Knox.
“I think it’s way too early to make an assessment after two summer-league games,’’ Perry said via the New York Post. “You have to measure it. Excitement or disappointment? Do we see encouraging things? Yes. But we know these aren’t the guys they’re playing against or not playing against in the fall.’’
The expectations are high for Kevin Knox this year and he is going to get every chance to show what he can do this season. There are questions about when Kristaps Porziņģis will be able to return this season and if he will be able to at all. Knox is going to be the focal point of this team and the pressure is going to be placed on him early.
