The New York Knicks came up big in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's preseason matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers to pull off a come-from-behind victory over the Cavs. Julius Randle had a fine performance for the Knicks in the win, but for most New York fans on the mean streets of Twitter, this wasn't exactly the type of play they were expecting from the 26-year-old.

For what it's worth, Randle finished with a team-high 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting to go along with five boards, three assists, a steal, a block, and two turnovers in 29 minutes of action. However, the 6-foot-8 power forward still drew criticism for being a bit of a ball hog on the evening.

One Twitter user posted a clip of a determined Randle going coast-t0-coast as he attempted to dribble past virtually the entire Cavs team:

Plays like these prompted another fan to point out Randle's knack for turning the rock over:

Another spectator opted to downplay New York's comeback, as he reminded everyone that Cleveland was playing without a couple of key players:

Finally, another observant fan turned to statistics to show the type of impact Randle had during the game:

It's true that Randle put up solid stats, but the Knicks were getting blown out by the Cavs' regulars until both teams turned to their bench in the fourth quarter.

Randle currently has two years remaining on his deal and is slated to earn close to $40 million over the next two seasons, though only $4 million of his 2021-22 contract is guaranteed right now. He is currently New York's highest-paid player, and as such, a lot will be expected from him. The Knicks have some of the ruthless fans in all of sports, so at this point, Randle should be prepared to take on the “perks” of being a star in New York.
