New York Knicks rookie RJ Barrett recorded the first double-double of his NBA career on Monday against the Chicago Bulls.
Barrett finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds in the Knicks' seven-point win over the Bulls at home. New York also erased an 18-point deficit before roaring back for the W.
Now, Barrett believes he can average a double-double for an entire season “one day.”

Through the Knicks' first four games of the season, Barrett is putting up 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists. The lefty is shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from beyond the arc.
Barrett has to work on his free-throws, as the 19-year-old is shooting just 44.0 percent from the charity stripe.
Since New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson is going to make his NBA debut later in the season after undergoing knee surgery, Barrett has a chance to win the 2020 Rookie of the Year Award. The Knicks probably aren't going to win a lot of games in 2019-20, but Barrett figures to put up good numbers in The Big Apple.
