The New York Knicks lured in Jalen Brunson on a $110 million deal before the Dallas Mavericks could even put an offer on the table once free agency opened up. It was unfortunate for the Mavs, who really believed they had a chance at retaining the point guard. But, it appeared that NY did potentially violate tampering rules in order to sign Brunson. Mark Cuban sarcastically addressed that on Tuesday.
Does Mark Cuban think the Knicks did anything wrong in the Jalen Brunson negotiations?

To be honest, the Brunson-Knicks rumors were swirling for weeks. They even hired his dad, Rick Brunson, as an assistant coach before free agency. That was one of the first signs which pointed toward Brunson taking his talents to the Big Apple. Although Mark Cuban clearly believes there was some funny business going on there, he didn't shy away from praising his ex-guard who played such a key part in helping the Mavs make it to the Western Conference Finals.
Cuban went on to say he'll leave it up to the NBA to determine if the Knicks actually tampered or not. It's not his business. The Mavs will definitely feel the loss of Brunson, but they also brought in some intriguing pieces in their frontcourt including Christian Wood and JaVale McGee. It's now time for Mark Cuban to work at bringing in a replacement for Brunson though, who essentially served as the right-hand man to Luka Doncic.
The Knicks are definitely fortunate to get Brunson, whose talent should really be unleashed with a bigger role for Tom Thibodeau's squad. A Most Improved Player of the Year Award could be in the cards.
