New York Knicks center Enes Kanter, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, and assistant coach Darvin Ham will not receive NBA fines and sanctions from the league despite their role in a recent scuffle.

Kanter and Antetokounmpo engaged in a heated tussle during Milwaukee's 112-96 win over Milwaukee on Thursday. During the incident, Ham rushed to the court and appeared to have body checked Kanter, drawing the ire of the Knicks center and teammates.

Fines and possible suspensions were expected but the league decided otherwise. According to Marc Berman of New York Post, the league decided not to fine Kanter, Antetokounmpo, and Ham.

Aside from getting nose-to-nose at each other during the scuffle, Kanter and Giannis did not throw a punch. On the other hand, Ham escaped fine or suspension because the league ruled out that the assistant coach “acted as a peacemaker” to separate Kanter and Antetokounmpo.

Berman reported on Thursday that Kanter was livid inside the locker room because of how Ham reacted during the incident. Kanter publicly told reporters that Ham should be fined because he should have knocked his own player instead of a player from the opposing team.

“The NBA should fine him,” Kanter said via ESPN. “He's not my assistant coach, so he's not allowed to touch me. You're a Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach, so you're allowed to touch the Bucks players. Not me.”

Injured Knicks superstar Kristaps Porzingis also reacted to the incident. While he did not directly mention Ham, Porzingis blasted an assistant coach for grabbing his teammate during the fracas. Kanter confirmed to reporters that he received a text from Porzingis after the game, expressing support to him and how he was disgusted with Ham.
